Schools Tree Day - 27th July
To celebrate National Schools' Tree Day, we will plant an olive tree on Friday the 27th of July at St Joseph's Nudgee College. This tree will not only signify the start of the Signum Fidei Justice League, but will also symbolise the peace and justice that we are striving to create in our world today.
It is reported that more than 15 football fields of rainforest are cleared every minute on earth! We know the vital role that trees play in purifying the air we breath, in reducing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, and in maintaining the bio-diversity and natural ecosystems that we all rely on. They also look pretty good!
We are encouraging all Justice League supporters to plant one tree this National Tree Day. You can do this at home, or join one of the many planned planting events in public spaces. Find out more by visiting the Planet Ark National Tree Day website.
